What we collect, and what we do not.
A contact form, a WhatsApp link and a list of services held in your own browser. That is the whole of it. Books & Counts runs no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking.

01What this covers
This notice covers booksncounts.com and the ways you can contact Books & Counts through it. It does not cover the separate platforms we link to, such as Trustpilot, Upwork, LinkedIn and Instagram, each of which has its own notice.
It does not cover the client engagement itself. Once you become a client, the documents you send us are governed by our engagement letter and by the confidentiality obligations that bind a chartered accountant.
02What we collect, and only when you give it
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, WhatsApp number, preferred contact method, and the services you are interested in. Company name and a description of what you need are optional.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for automated abuse. Upstash processes a one-way fingerprint of the request IP to enforce submission limits. Enquiries that pass the check are stored by our database provider, Supabase, so we can follow up with you.
We do not run advertising pixels, cross-site trackers or analytics that build a profile of you.
03What we do with it
We answer you. That is the whole purpose. Contact details are used to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to run the engagement.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We share it only with the service providers this site runs on, including Cloudflare for the bot check, Upstash for request rate limiting, and Supabase for storing enquiries, and only to the extent they need it to provide those services. Where the law requires disclosure, we comply with the law.
04How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not become an engagement is kept for up to twenty-four months, so we can pick up a conversation you started last year, and then deleted.
Client records are kept for as long as the professional and tax rules that apply to the work require, which is commonly seven years, and then deleted.
05Your rights
Write to info@booksncounts.com and ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will answer within thirty days.
If you are in the EU or the UK you have these rights under the GDPR, and you may complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in India you have equivalent rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
We are based in India and the people who contact us are largely outside it, so answering you means your information crosses a border. It is held under the safeguards our providers offer and is not transferred anywhere else.
06Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and does not store information in your browser.
Third-party pages we link to, WhatsApp among them, set their own cookies once you are on them. That is their doing, on their domain, and their notices apply.
07Changes, and how to reach us
If this notice changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
Questions about any of it go to info@booksncounts.com, or to Books & Counts, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.
